About Axel / the person behind the work

Good with people.Curious about everything.

I’m Axel Vega, a technology sales professional and hands-on builder based in Mexico City. I connect the conversation with the customer to the work it takes to deliver.

Fourteen years in customer-facing technology and sales taught me how to listen, ask better questions, and explain complicated products clearly. Building software gave me another way to follow through: turning what a customer needs into something they can actually use.

My sales experience is the foundation. My technical work is what I am building on it.

For teams hiring in sales

My strongest commercial fit is technology sales, solutions consulting, and account development: roles where product understanding, customer trust, and follow-through matter together.

Talk about a role

01 / the experience

Two kinds of work. One way of thinking.

Understand the people, clarify the problem, and take responsibility for what comes next.

Customer & commercial work

A decade in technology sales

Verizon / TCC

Technology solutions sales · B2C & B2B

A substantial part of my tenure was in high-volume B2C, where I developed discovery, objection handling, and customer experience skills. Five years focused on B2B accounts, with a different approach for each buying environment.

  • 2 years with small and medium businesses: practical discovery, account development, and relationship ownership.
  • 2 years with government and nonprofit organizations: understanding procurement needs and aligning stakeholders.
  • 1 year with enterprise accounts: complex buying groups, technical conversations, and ongoing account support.
  • Mobility, connectivity, devices, and security solutions, with follow-through on retention and account growth.

VegaByte

Founder & CEO

Built and led an IT asset disposition business. I owned the commercial relationship from first conversation through scoping, onboarding, and ongoing delivery.

  • Positioning, prospecting, proposals, and negotiation.
  • Secure data handling and chain-of-custody requirements.
  • Customer, partner, and vendor relationships.

2024–present

Client solutions & consultative sales

Help organizations understand accessibility, compliance, cybersecurity, and technology needs in practical business terms.

  • Translate technical requirements into clear scope and expectations.
  • Connect customer education with delivery and follow-up.

2012–2015

Sprint

Wireless sales & account management

Developed my sales foundation in retail: understanding needs, recommending useful solutions, and balancing customer acquisition with retention.

  • Consistent follow-up and day-to-day commercial discipline.

Product & technical work

Ongoing

Device Trainer

Backend engineering

Contribute to the systems that connect a retail sale to the customer’s product experience. My work links commercial requirements with backend logic, data movement, and integrations.

  • IQmetrix API integration and coupon-delivery workflows.
  • n8n, Make.com, and Supabase for connected processes.
  • Ongoing backend work and contribution to the commercial model.

Proprietary client work

ISO 27001 assessment software

Product design & engineering

Created a self-contained HTML assessment tool that works offline without server callbacks. The constraint was deliberate: a consultant could take the file and work with it independently.

  • Guided review across 93 Annex A controls.
  • Evidence, observations, gap tracking, and printable reporting.
  • Client-owned software. The public example uses fictional data and is not the proprietary application.

Private subscription product

NEPQ practice simulator

AI product development

Built an AI customer for sales roleplay inside a Whop subscription. A seller can practice when a manager or training partner is not available.

  • Adaptive customer responses and objections.
  • Conversation continues through the required discovery points.
  • Proprietary application, with no public source or live client access.

Ongoing

Independent product work

AI-assisted full-stack development

Build interfaces, connect APIs, automate repetitive tasks, and apply security and accessibility thinking to the resulting experience.

  • React, TypeScript, Python, SQL, and Supabase.
  • n8n and Make.com workflows with practical review and testing.

02 / how I can contribute

The useful part is the connection.

01

Understand the buyer

Discovery, qualification, stakeholder alignment, and clear proposals. I adapt the conversation to SMB, public-sector, and enterprise needs.

  • B2B sales
  • Account development
  • Technical discovery
02

Build the next step

Readable interfaces, connected backend workflows, and AI-assisted products. The goal is a usable result, not a longer list of tools.

  • React / TypeScript
  • APIs / Supabase
  • n8n / Make.com
03

Think about the risks

Security, compliance, accessibility, and evidence matter before handoff. I bring those questions into both customer conversations and product work.

  • ISO 27001
  • Cybersecurity / GRC
  • Accessible interfaces

03 / always learning

A practical base. An open notebook.
